Part of ICIP's activities include the translation and publication books, magazines and articles related to issues of pluralism and Islam in Indonesia. The three primary types of publicaiton to date are (a) cutting-edge, reinterpretive works in Indonesian being translated into English and then being distributed regionally through cooperation with regional publishers (b) works by international thinkers being translated into Indonesian and then being distributed nation-wide through cooperative agreements with national publishers and (c) a quarterly magazine, Al-Wasathiyyah, which discusses contemporary issues of pluralisme and Islam and is distributed to pesantren throughout West Java.
